But because having the right to a domain name is on first come first serve basis, you may not be able to have access to a specific name (except for trademarked names) that will be suitable for your online business.
From the information above, you can see that if somebody else registers a domain before you do, you have to buy it from him at an arm’s length transaction. I have told you why you should go into this business. Now let me show you how to buy and sell domain names for profit. For those of you who are on a budget, you still need a minimum of $20 as a start up investment.
You will register two domain names. One name should be used for your first domain flip project and the other will be used as your permanent domain flipping marketplace to promote all your web properties. You want to look professional and be able to reach as many prospective buyers as much as possible.
There are four ways to make money flipping domains.

To start with, you have to register a valuable domain name based on some qualifying criteria and which has keyword orientation. Thereafter, you will advertise the sale of your virtual real estate in various online marketing media to sell it off at a profit.
The quality of your domain will determine how fast you are able to sell. So it is important that you have a solid system in place for generating valuable domain name ideas.
Another method is to buy a domain from auction sites or somewhere else and then resell it at a profit. You must also understand how the bidding system works if you are going through the auction sites.
To make money flipping domains in this way is to make sure you always buy low and sell high. Your ability to self-appraise web property before selling will go a long way to ensure you are not short-changing yourself when selling.
However, let me quickly remind you that the two dominant factors which determine how high or low you are able to quickly flip a website or domain are its targeted (free) traffic and the average monthly net profits except when it is a type-in traffic domain.
If you are good at generating high volume of targeted free traffic and income from a website, it is a cinch to learn how to buy and sell domain names for profit. In short, you are half way successful.
